My husband, Dennis (who was on the ARCMA Board for almost 20 years) and I, along with our children, moved to Folsom and American River Canyon in 1988.

I can vividly remember how excited Dennis was to show me our neighborhood and our gorgeous Parkway. He was so impressed by the Parkway's inviting beauty. Dennis' mission, on the ARCMA Board, was to keep our Parkway and our common areas in American River Canyon beautiful, healthy and the main focus of our neighborhood. He truly did an exceptional job of managing the grounds and caring for the most beautiful Parkway in Folsom, for all of us, our families, and our guests to enjoy.

My goal is to honor Dennis by working hard to continue his mission to maintain our beautiful Parkway.

Antoinette, the kids and I moved into our neighborhood in 2010 from ARC north. I still remember the good ol’ days of them trick or treating on our streets… We’ve lived in the Folsom area since 2006, before that FL, GA, AZ and Michigan where we met in 1991 after I discharged from the US Marine Corps after serving in operation desert storm. I joined the USMC under President Reagan, saw the fall of the Berlin wall while overseas training and was in Okinawa Japan when then Emperor of Japan Hirohito died. I graduated college, am a member of our local VFW post 6604 and am today a senior financial planner for Edelman Financial Engines.

I’d like to say I’ve seen and heard it all before, but… times change and although life’s music (like it or not) seems a lot louder and most certainly faster all the time I believe our conflicts, and resolutions with one another continue to deem the same careful time consuming balanced considerations as before.

My goal as a board member is simple. I’ll take my time in the votes I cast to what I believe to be in the mutual benefit of all our members and encourage everyone to read through all the material posted on our website, attend our meetings and feel free to voice any concerns and suggestions with your 2021 volunteer board of directors.

After spending my early life in Texas, I moved to California in early 1990. After most of it spent in Roseville, I moved to Folsom and the American River Canyon in 2010 where I live with my wife Kathy. My two daughters are grown and living on their own. One in Texas and the other in Australia.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, I worked a few different jobs in Texas. One was in the oil and steel business, and another as an on-air personality for a radio and television station in a small market. It was fun, the pay was not!

Due mainly to the weather, I followed my parents to California where I began working for Enterprise soon after. At Enterprise I learned the value of sales and customer service, and became even more fiscally conservative than I was. After a 30-year career at Enterprise, I left, and I am now a realtor with Keller Williams.

My goal as a board member is to reach out and encourage participation. I want to make sure past board members are involved. As a manager for many years, I valued information and input. Even though I am fiscally conservative, there is an obligation to make our Canyon look as good and enticing as possible. I want to make smart decisions on how we allocate funds. But I also want to make it where every homeowner who drives up and down the Canyon can feel proud where they live. I call it a pride of ownership.

Richard Smith

My wife Pam and I have lived and been a home owner in ARC for 23+ years. I am retired from a career in Information Technology and Management Consulting with 40 years’ experience as a Business and Systems Analyst. Where I worked with small, medium, large companies and multi-national corporations developing proposals, responding to proposals, negotiating pricing and contracts.

I also have four (4) years as a volunteer officer of a non-profit board, five (5) years as a volunteer advisor to an additional non-profit board, four (4) years on an elected church council running the business of the church, and three (3) years as a volunteer Children's Ministry Director at another church and church council member.

My wife and I love living in American River Canyon and we very much enjoy the parkway. We walk the parkway multiple times a day individually and with our dog. I am happy to have the opportunity to work with the community and the other board members to keep the parkway looking beautiful.
Lynnette Gamenara-Kaufmann

My husband, Roger and I have been married since 2013. Prior to that I was windowed by my dear husband, James Gamenara. I have now owned my home since 1996, so I am a long time resident of American River Canyon. (ARC) We moved here, along with our two daughters, who are now both grown with families of their own. I can still remember driving into this neighborhood for the first time, through our lovely Parkway searching for our dream home. Our Parkway was in all its glory the month of May when we decided to take the plunge and become a permanent residents. This Parkway one of the many features that sold us on this home’s location. Because of the excitement of moving into this neighborhood, and experiencing the beauty of the gateway into our community, it is my desire to keep our Parkway and our common areas in ARC beautiful, healthy, and constantly improved.

I wish to help the other 2020 board members in caring for the one of the most beautiful Parkway’s in all of Folsom. It must be preserved for all to enjoy; our families, neighbors and visitors. My goal is to be fiscally prudent, maintaining our reserves and budgeting for the maintenance and advancement of the Parkway, in ARC.
